List of appellational translations of the Omnidoxy

Translations of the Omnidoxy have occurred since the completion of the text during The Year of Completion (2019 - 2020) by Cometan, the sole author of the treatise. The original text was written in English and all subsequent translations are based upon the Original Edition.

The Astronist Institution maintains one of its responsibilities of the proprietor of Astronism as overseeing the accurate translation and publication of either the Omnidoxy as a whole or regarding its publication in divided parts.

Translating the Omnidoxy is an extremely complex task, particularly due to some significant factors:

  • the extensive length of the text (2 million words).
  • the use of new words by Cometan as part of Astronist terminology that have not direct translation to non-English languages, thus requiring the creation of subsequent new words.
  • the complexity of the meaning of words in the Omnidoxy, especially due to their focus on concepts and beliefs. This causes difficulty in distinguishing between certain words that hold similar meanings.

For this reason, a separate discipline of omnidoxicology was devised to deal with translations of the Omnidoxy, known as omnitranslation.
