Incremology is a post-omnidoxical discipline of study of Cometanic origin dealing with the study of the development of religions, particularly applied to Astronism, and the comparisons between their developments. It can be considered an amalgamation of the fields of comparative religion, theology, philosophy, politics, and history.

Incremology, specialists in which are known as incremologists, distinguish their field from the history of religion as their focus is place more on the development of the beliefs and theologies of the religion or belief system specifically rather than the development or expansion of the religion as a whole.

It is certain that incremology developed as part of Cometan's post-omnidoxical reflection on Astronism and his comparison of how Astronism was then currently developing to what he knew of how past religions had developed. It is for this reason that incremology is classified as part of the Astronist philosophy of religion.
